1. Who we are

Border Terrier Studio is run by R Roy, designing and printing cards and gifts from a small home studio in East Sussex.

2. Our products

  • Our designs start from our own photographs and are developed using digital art tools (including AI-assisted editing) and hand finishing.
  • Each item is printed in-house to order. Cards are [5x7 inches, printed on 300gsm card, blank inside, supplied with a white envelope] unless the product page says otherwise.
  • Colours on screen vary between devices, and small variations in print colour and finish are a natural part of in-house printing. These are not faults.
  • Product images are for illustration; the finished item may differ slightly.

3. Prices and payment

  • All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include [no VAT, as we are not VAT registered].
  • Prices include standard UK delivery unless stated otherwise at checkout.
  • Multi-buy offers (e.g. [3 cards for £10]) are applied at checkout and can't be combined with other offers unless stated.
  • Payment is taken at the time of order through Shopify's secure checkout. We never see or store your full card details.
  • If we make an obvious pricing error, we'll contact you before dispatching and you can cancel or pay the correct price.

4. Your order and our contract with you

  • After you order, you'll receive an email acknowledging it. Our contract with you is formed when we email to confirm your order has been dispatched.
  • We may decline an order – for example if an item is out of stock or we can't deliver to your address. If so, we'll refund you in full.

5. Delivery

  • We deliver to UK addresses only.
  • We aim to dispatch within 2 working days. Standard delivery is by Royal Mail 2nd Class, usually arriving within 2–5 working days of dispatch.
  • Delivery times are estimates. If your order hasn't arrived within 14 days of dispatch, please contact us and we'll help.
  • Items are your responsibility once delivered to the address you gave us.

6. Your right to cancel (change of mind)

If you're a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days, starting the day after you receive your items.

  • To cancel, email us at support@bordeeterrierstudio.co.uk with your name, order number and the items you're returning. 
  • Return the items to us within 14 days of telling us you're cancelling. You pay the cost of returning items unless they are faulty or we sent the wrong thing.
  • We'll refund the price you paid, including the original standard delivery charge, within 14 days of receiving the items back (or proof you've sent them, if sooner), using your original payment method.
  • We may reduce the refund if an item has been used or handled more than needed to inspect it – for example if a card has been written in.
  • This right to cancel does not apply to items personalised or made to your specification.

7. Faulty, damaged or wrong items

Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by anything on this page. If an item arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, please email us at support@borderterrierstudio.co.uk within 14 days of delivery, ideally with a photo. We'll offer a replacement or a full refund, and cover any return postage. We won't ask you to return low-value damaged items unless we need to.

8. Our liability to you

  • We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
  • We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses – our products are for domestic and private use.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breaching your legal rights as a consumer.
  • Coasters are decorative and for light use; they are not heat-proof trivets. 

9. Copyright and intellectual property

All designs, photographs, artwork and text on this website and on our products are © 2026 Border Terrier Studio unless stated otherwise. Buying a product gives you the right to use and enjoy that item. It does not give you the right to copy, scan, reproduce or sell our designs. 10. Using this website

  • We try to keep the site accurate and available but can't guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
  • Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we're not responsible for their content.
  • How we use your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. Our use of cookies is explained in our Cookie Policy.

11. Complaints

If you're unhappy with anything, please email support@borderterrierstudio.co.uk and we'll aim to reply within 5 working days and put things right.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one shown on this page when you placed it.

13. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
